Those first few weeks with a new baby can feel like a bit of a blur. The tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles, milk-drunk faces, little stretches and the way they seem impossibly small in your arms.
My newborn photography is about preserving all of those things.
Rather than taking your baby into a studio and placing them into a series of carefully posed setups, I come to you. I photograph your family at home, in the place where your baby is beginning their story. From those first sleepy mornings and cuddles on the sofa to tiny details in the nursery, your favourite chair, the books you've chosen and the little things you've prepared before they arrived – these are the photographs that will bring this time back to you years from now.
It's easy to think you'll never forget how small your baby was. But they change so quickly. Those tiny hands that disappeared inside yours. Their little toes. The way they curled up against your chest. How they fitted perfectly into the crook of your arm. I'll photograph those details alongside the bigger moments – giving you a complete collection of photographs that tells the story of those first precious weeks. And because we're photographing at home, we'll capture the things that are uniquely yours too: Your baby's nursery. Their first favourite toy. The Moses basket they slept in. The chair where you spent countless hours feeding and cuddling. The family dog who doesn't quite know what to make of the new arrival.These details might seem ordinary now, but they become incredibly special with time.
Newborn photography at home
A newborn photography session at home is relaxed and completely baby-led.
There is no pressure to make your baby behave, sleep or pose in a particular way. If they need feeding, we stop. If they need changing, we stop. If they want to be held, that's exactly what we'll photograph.

There isn't a single "right" time for newborn photography.
I recommend booking your Dorset newborn photography session within the first three weeks, when your baby is still wonderfully tiny and everything is still so new.
The most important thing is that we photograph this stage while it still feels like now.
